We got to talk to a Chicago improviser and instructor, the incredible Susan Messing!
Susan has been performing improv for quite some time at various theaters in Chicago, and is renowned for her work at iO, Second City, and the Annoyance!
Jason and Susan get right into the nitty gritty of many things improv. The pair talk about Susan's approach to improv, the "rules of improv," how she started teaching improv and that Peter Grosz and Seth Meyers were in the first class she taught, being a founding member of the Annoyance Theater. Also, Susan creates one of our favorite moments of "There It Is" by answering a phone call as a little girl. It's pretty funny!
Susan is a bastion of knowledge and it not only is a treat to listen to her chat about improv it is also very informative. You will learn some great things.
